Our Broward Martial Arts School
Shinjinbukan Shorin Ryu Karate Dojo was opened with the goal of teaching real martial arts to the American public. Many martial arts schools exist today, but very few really teach the essence of martial arts and even fewer teach authentic Okinawan Karate, where most of today's Karate originated from.
Our unparalleled children & adult karate programs teach more than physical and self defense techniques. Our teaching methods will also cultivate:
- The ability to develop your full potential, by confronting and overcoming self-doubt and fear.
- The ability to nurture harmony, cooperation, and unity of purpose among ourselves and others.
- Ways to ignite the flame of enthusiasm and eagerness for living that resides in all of us.
- A strong sense of self esteem, confidence, direction, discipline, responsibility, and motivation on your chosen path.
- A sense of balance in your life.

Our Dojo:
- We have 3300 square feet of space. You will never feel crowded in class.
- We offer a unique blend of traditional and modern equipment to provide you with the best available training
- Our premium flooring system (like the ones used in the Olympics) with it's 1.5 inch thick forgiving surface, (unlike the the standard .5 inch mats used by most schools), will give you an extra layer of safety and security when training
Our school is new in the United States, but our instructors have been teaching for more than 36 years in Japan and throughout the Americas. Shinzato Sensei will be teaching the majority of the classes and overseeing the training of each student. You and your child will receive the best instruction available by one of Okinawa's premier Martial Arts instructors.

Many of the students that studied under Shinzato Sensei have competed and won local, regional and international tournaments. Now, we are looking to train and develop new students who can, and want to, represent our school at the U.S. Open , Nationals, World tournaments and ultimately: the Olympics.

| We are very fortunate to have visitors from around the world come to our Dojo. In October of 2004, Sensei Onaga Yoshimitsu came to visit our Dojo. Onaga Sensei is Shinzato Sensei's Teacher from Okinawa. Click here to see the pictorial of his visit. |
